All of our lives we have been involved in our local church, and in the lives of friends and family. From an early age we learned to volunteer and serve, whether in church, our neighborhood, or within the community where we lived. We will continue to make volunteering in one capacity or another a top priority.
We are firm believers in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and as our Savior and Lord. We believe in the importance of the Church and gathering together with other believers to receive strength and to give strength. I say this because none of these beliefs will change and each must remain a constant in our lives. Every destination where the length of stay is a week or more we look for "community". We search for a church family with whom we can worship and for whom we can serve and/or we look for opportunities at campgrounds to serve or minister. We are always striving to connect with people. Because of this sustained effort to connect we have made some of the most wonderful friends.
Keeping a friendship intact takes an effort. One or both parties must make an effort to "connect" periodically or the relationship tends to deteriorate. I'm not a person who enjoys chit-chat on the phone. If I make a phone call to connect, the duration will not be long. I do like texting. Just little messages periodically to say I'm thinking of you, or to check in and say What's Up? And what a treat to receive a text letting me know a friend is thinking about me or praying for me.
In large part the use of Facebook has served to keep us better connected than we could have ever dreamed. Our travels would have been difficult without the love and support of those we hold dearest. For everyone who takes a second to comment on a post, or click "like", we thank you. We have connected and shared our lives with you. Because of the ability to stay in touch with family and friends through technology, the distance we travel is not all that far.
